Pharmacy Services Representative
Day shift|8:30am to 5:00pm|with 1-3 years of experience
As a Pharmacy Services Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency within our pharmacy services team. Your responsibilities will include providing exceptional customer support, accurately processing customer orders, and maintaining high standards of quality assurance in all interactions.
Responsibilities
- Provide the highest level of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and managing escalations with professionalism and empathy.
- Accurately process customer orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Implement and refine processes to streamline customer service operations.
- Monitor and evaluate customer service interactions to maintain high service quality and compliance with industry regulations.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Label and package medications for mail order distribution.
- Ensure all prescriptions are filled correctly and meet quality standards.
- Process prescription orders received through the mail order system.
- Verify patient information and prescription details for accuracy.
- Monitor and maintain medication inventory levels.
- Order medications and supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with inventory audits.
- Input prescription data into the pharmacy information system.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns related to medication orders.
- Assist with resolving issues related to delayed or incorrect orders.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to pharmacy practice.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all prescription orders and transactions.
- Assist with maintaining the confidentiality and security of patient information.
- Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of pharmacy services.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Report any medication errors or discrepancies to the supervising pharmacist.
- Assist pharmacists with administrative tasks as needed.
- Help maintain a clean and organized pharmacy work area.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Active Pharmacy Technician license or certification as required by state law.
- 2+ years of experience in retail or mail order pharmacy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and technology.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.
- Pharmacy Technician Board Certification is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is based in a closed-door mail order pharmacy, operating Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. The facility is located at 7041 Girls School Ave, Indianapolis, IN. The team consists of 22 technicians and 3 pharmacists, and the pharmacy is currently expanding into an adjacent suite. Additionally, a second shift is being added. The work environment is professional yet supportive, with opportunities for career growth and development. Employees enjoy weekends and major holidays off.

This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
