Hiring for an Outside Sales Representative!

We are seeking a dynamic Construction Equipment & Tool Sales Representative to join our team, focusing on expanding our customer base and supporting our existing clients. This position is field-based, ideal for individuals who excel at building relationships, solving problems, and driving results. The territory covered includes New Haven, Fairfield, and Lower Litchfield Counties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an existing book of business across assigned territories.
  • Prospect and develop new client relationships through cold calling, site visits, and networking.
  • Follow up on qualified leads provided by the inside sales team.
  • Conduct on-site client visits to assess needs and recommend equipment solutions.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and negotiate agreements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for account management and customer service.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, service, and support.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and customer interactions.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in outside sales, preferably in construction equipment or a related field.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to travel regularly to client sites across Connecticut.
  • Clean driving record.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction equipment sales or usage.
  • 1+ year of client-facing/customer service role.
  • 1+ year of experience with Excel or CRM systems.

Work Environment

This role involves on-road traveling and office or home-based work as needed. There is an expectation to come into the office once a week. A company truck, gas card, and cell phone are provided to support your work. The team offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to manage your tasks independently. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of South Windsor, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $50000.00/yr.
