Networking Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Networking Engineer to lead the setup of a brand-new lab environment for a large corporate client. This role requires hands-on experience with configuring and deploying network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, servers, and switches. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in corporate IT and ISP environments, with specific expertise in UniFi systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a secure and scalable lab network environment from the ground up.
- Configure and deploy firewalls, routers, switches, and servers.
- Perform network configurations including VLANs, routing protocols, and access control.
- Ensure compliance with corporate IT standards and security policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Integrate UniFi hardware and software into the lab environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience setting up and managing network infrastructure in corporate and ISP environments.
- Strong knowledge of firewall configuration and network security principles.
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and server deployment.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing UniFi systems (Ubiquiti).
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
