About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead HVAC and plumbing design projects across diverse sectors, including municipal, educational, medical, federal, and private markets. This role combines technical design expertise with project management and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from kickoff through construction completion.
• Oversee design teams and mentor junior staff.
• Prepare mechanical specifications and biddable construction documents.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards (e.g., Title 24, LEED).
• Lead client meetings and maintain strong relationships.
• Handle construction administration tasks (RFIs, submittals).
• Contribute to proposals and assist with client development.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years in HVAC and plumbing design and project management.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• California PE license.
• LEED certification.
• Experience with complex systems and sectors such as data centers, medical, and K-12.
• Familiarity with proposal writing and client development.

Compensation

• Salary range: $90,000–$120,000 annually.
• Biannual bonus opportunities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90,000.00 - $120,000.00/yr.

- Health Insurance: 100% coverage for the employee. You can add dependents at your own cost. - Dental Insurance: 100% coverage for both the employee and family. - Life Insurance: $25,000 coverage provided. Additional coverage available at your cost. - Sick Leave: 5 days annually, non-cumulative. - Vacation: 80 hours annually, renewed on your anniversary date. - 401(k) Retirement Account: contributes 3% of your salary. - Bonuses: Offered based on company performance.
