We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer V to lead complex, high-impact projects from concept all the way through construction. If you enjoy driving strategy, guiding cross-functional teams, and seeing your work come to life in the field—this role is for you.

What You'll Do

• Lead full lifecycle mechanical engineering projects—design development through construction administration
• Coordinate and direct cross-functional teams to meet project goals
• Implement and optimize platforms like Smartsheet and Procore
• Establish deadlines, assign responsibilities, and maintain project momentum
• Deliver clear, actionable project reports to leadership
• Apply strong engineering judgment and bring creativity to solve complex problems

What You Bring

• Expertise in mechanical design + construction lifecycle management
• Strong leadership and team-coordination experience
• Advanced proficiency with project management tools (Smartsheet, Procore, etc.)
• Proven project success metrics and ability to manage multiple large-scale programs
• Strategic decision-making ability and history of increasing responsibility
• Experience mentoring and developing team members

Work Environment

This is a Contract position based out of Herndon, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
