The Mechanical Engineer will play a crucial role in custom machine design using SolidWorks, primarily supporting a large-scale project within the energy sector. Initially, the role involves working alongside another mechanical engineer to develop equipment ideas, and will involve participation in a project kickoff meeting. Responsibilities include component sizing, material selection, and staying with the project through to assembly, customer run-off, and debugging. The initial project runs until the end of January, after which the engineer will manage multiple projects concurrently, with typical project durations ranging from 28 to 36 weeks.

The team consists of over 80 engineers, including mechanical, design, controls, electrical, project management, and applications specialists. The environment is relaxed and jovial to mitigate stress from tight timelines. The position involves 75% desk work for design, with 25% spent on debugging. While travel for installation is rare, engineers occasionally visit customer sites. The engineering center is located near the plant, with an additional plant 15 minutes away. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge technology in custom automation, enhancing resumes and opening future opportunities. Initially a 6-month contract, the role has potential to become full-time based on business needs.

Pay and Benefits:
