We are seeking a Custom Solutions Engineer to support new and custom product design, machine testing, and machine compliance. This role involves interfacing with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs) such as Intertek, TUV, and UL to provide documentation and support for the testing and certification of laboratory products.
Create and edit wiring diagrams using Microsoft Visio and other software tools.
Create and maintain bills of materials.
Conduct product and component testing, which may include designing test procedures and documenting/reporting the results.
Troubleshoot electronics, wiring, and mechanical components.
Program and tune controllers for temperature, gas concentration, and vacuum.
Perform NIST traceable calibration of temperature sensors and controllers.
Proficiency in SolidWorks.
Mechanical engineering expertise.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience creating wiring diagrams.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
2 or 4 year degree in a relevant field, with a 4 year degree preferred.
Familiarity with national, regional, and international standards regarding laboratory equipment (training available as needed).
Familiarity with industrial controllers, primarily temperature controllers.
Experience with gas sensors, vacuum sensors, temperature sensors, solenoid valves, pumps, fans, power supplies, refrigeration, etc.
Experience troubleshooting complex systems with various types of electronic and mechanical components.
2+ years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Cornelius, Oregon.
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.
