Mechanical Engineer

This position is for a mechanical engineer to provide design and support for products. The role is crucial in maintaining product integrity, evaluating opportunities, and integrating new component designs into existing systems, while ensuring adherence to cost, reliability, and schedule commitments.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct structural analysis, design, implementation, and testing of a wide range of elevator components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and functionality.
• Maintain product integrity by evaluating opportunities for improvement and integrating new component designs.
• Ensure designs meet cost, reliability, and schedule commitments.

Essential Skills:

• Strong mechanical engineering in mechanical and system modeling and design.
• Proficiency in Creo / Pro Engineer.
• Experience in mechanical structural analysis using Ansys or other FEA software.
• Ability to document designs using Mathcad.
• Hands-on testing experience.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with test and measurement equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of elevator systems is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florence, SC.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.06/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
