Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a passionate Mechanical Engineer, ideally a Mechanical EIT or a P.E., with experience in government or commercial projects. The role involves working with both HVAC and Plumbing systems. This position offers significant upward growth potential, allowing the successful candidate to eventually run projects and possibly lead a team within the next five years.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on the design and development of mechanical systems for government and commercial projects.
• Work with HVAC and Plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with project specifications.
• Utilize Revit MEP software to create detailed mechanical designs.
• Engage in a two-round interview process, initially meeting virtually with the president and then in-person with the team.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow into leadership or project management roles over time.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in mechanical engineering and mechanical design.
• Experience with Revit and HVAC systems.
• Ability to work on projects involving hydronic systems and government facilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Eligibility to obtain a P.E. license within the next few years or already possessing one.
• Experience with hydronics is preferred.
• Experience in government projects, particularly in correctional facilities, is a significant advantage.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $45.00/hr.
