Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Technician or Junior Engineer to operate and support a cutting-edge robotic prototype. This role is critical to advancing technology that has the potential to greatly impact fulfillment. The ideal candidate will be independent, motivated, and comfortable working with evolving prototype systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support a cutting-edge robotic prototype.
• Work with minimal oversight and take initiative in problem-solving.
• Capture data and log information in prescribed systems accurately.
• Work with command line interfaces and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical hardware.
• Coordinate with remote technical teams effectively.

Essential Skills

• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and robotic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.
• Experience with command line interfaces or willingness to learn quickly.
• Computer literacy including data entry and basic software applications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Charlton, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.20/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
