Mechanical Engineer

Join a dynamic team responsible for providing production support to machining and assembly areas, focusing on commercial engineering, fire and emergency plumbing, and fire and emergency body systems. Utilize your skills to analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to determine design factors and develop innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide production support to machining and assembly areas.
• Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.
• Sketch rough layouts and compute angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and location of holes.
• Plan and formulate engineering programs and organize project staff according to project requirements.

Essential Skills:

• Mechanical design and engineering experience.
• Proficiency in CAD and AutoCAD.
• Experience in new product development and drafting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in a design package is preferred but open to various design software.

Work Environment:

Work in an office setting, collaborating with internal and external customers. Be part of a small company with a unique product line of firetrucks. The engineering team consists of 17 members, with plans to expand by adding 4 more due to growth.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Marion, WI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
