Mechanical Engineer

Join a team where engineering meets innovation. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing next-generation medical device repair technologies and elevating existing processes for performance, quality, and cost-efficiency. This is a hands-on, immersive role for an engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges, reverse-engineering sophisticated devices, and seeing their solutions come to life on the production floor.

You will work on intricate components—including ultrasound arrays, plastic lenses, articulation systems, and micro-scale PCB technologies—while collaborating closely with technical operations to support critical customer needs. If you enjoy blending mechanical design, problem-solving, and process improvement in a dynamic environment, this role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact every day.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and development of medical device repair technologies.
  • Enhance and streamline existing processes to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Reverse-engineer OEM equipment and create comprehensive repair methodologies.
  • Work hands-on with electrical and mechanical components.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure projects move forward with speed and precision.

What You Bring

  • Strong foundation in mechanical engineering, including proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D printing.
  • Knowledge of soft and injection molding, and expertise in designing fixtures and jigs.
  • Solid grasp of GD&T, complex machinery, and electromechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with PCB basics and surface-mount technologies.
  • Fundamental understanding of AC/DC circuits to support electrical troubleshooting.

Bonus Skills That Set You Apart

  • Design for manufacturability (DFM) with an eye for quality, robustness, and cost optimization.
  • Experience with process improvement, time studies, or LEAN manufacturing.
  • Exposure to supply chain interactions, including supplier coordination and capability sourcing.
  • A collaborative mindset and adaptability in a fast-moving, high-engineering environment.

Why You'll Love Working Here

This is not a desk-bound engineering role. You'll be embedded directly on the production floor, working shoulder-to-shoulder with technicians and operations leaders. The work is hands-on, energetic, and constantly evolving—perfect for an engineer who enjoys variety, ownership, and challenging problems.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • See your designs implemented in real time
  • Influence how industry-leading technologies are repaired and restored
  • Work in a tight-knit, collaborative engineering environment
  • Grow your technical breadth across mechanical, electrical, and materials engineering
