Job Description:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be instrumental in:

• Designing and building custom machinery for packaging automation.
• Leading the structure design and testing of various frameworks
• Collaborating on conceptual and practical system design, from CAD modeling to hands-on assembly.
• Executing test plans to validate sensor data collection and system performance.
• Integrating off-the-shelf components into custom structures for data acquisition and machine functionality.
• Supporting both new machine development and existing equipment enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs using SolidWorks, ensuring manufacturability and performance.
• More focused on part and sub-assembly level, executing without a lot of oversight
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and timelines.
• Use hand tools and lab equipment safely and effectively during prototyping and testing.
• Maintain design documentation within PLM systems

Must Haves:

• 5 – 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
• Solidworks experience
• Strong foundation in mechanical concept development and system assembly.
• Comfortable with sensor integration, mounting, and data validation.

Nice to Haves:

• Familiarity with GD&T is a plus, but not required.
• Machine Design experience is preferred but not a must.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
