Mechanical Engineer

A growing engineering team is looking for a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer/Designer with a strong background in designing and detailing components for manufacturing. This position plays a key role in supporting a fast-paced production environment by delivering accurate, efficient, and manufacturable designs for fabrication and assembly. Key Responsibilities: Create fabrication drawings, flat-patterns, layouts, and detailed drawings for production. Apply principles of form, fit, and function to develop components with speed and precision. Assemble complete drawing packages, including installation instructions and sub-component views. Design practical and manufacturable assemblies using input from samples, sketches, and engineering guidelines. Build and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) using standard office tools or ERP platforms. Document engineering processes and maintain standard work instructions. Ensure all designs comply with drafting standards, industry regulations, and production needs. Collaborate with internal teams such as production and purchasing to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications: Proven experience in mechanical design for manufacturing. Proficiency in CAD software and adherence to design standards. Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management. Ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment. Preferred Experience: Sheet metal design and fabrication. Background in custom manufacturing or job shop settings. Integration of BOMs within ERP systems. Additional Requirements: Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
