Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team for a renovation project at a high school. This role involves reviewing designs, reading blueprints, understanding change orders, conducting inspections, and creating punch lists to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate design plans and documents.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Understand and review change orders for project adjustments.
• Conduct thorough inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
• Create comprehensive punch lists for project completion.
• Work collaboratively with different subcontractors.
• Write detailed reports and communicate effectively with various teams.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in mechanical engineering, commissioning, and quality control.
• Experience with field inspection and mechanical construction.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems in large commercial buildings.
• Ability to perform quality control and quality assurance on mechanical blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of commissioning processes.
• Ability to write and communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with other trade knowledge is advantageous.

Work Environment

This position requires on-site presence at a high school undergoing renovation. The project involves making upgrades and changes to the HVAC systems. This is a five-month contract role.

This is a Contract position based out of Washington, DC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
