Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to support the development of internal equipment, which will be installed and commissioned at various locations. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in the design of custom automated equipment. The role involves working with SolidWorks and PDM to ensure the efficient design of machinery. You will be provided with a clear scope of work and milestones to achieve throughout the project.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom automated equipment using SolidWorks.
• Support internal equipment installations and commissioning at various sites.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to ensure project milestones are met.
• Utilize PDM for effective project management and design documentation.

Essential Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly with custom automated equipment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks design and PDM systems.
• Experience in machine design and new product development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with automated equipment or machine design is highly desirable.
• 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering is a plus.

Work Environment:

The role is based at the Minneapolis site, which specializes in building custom equipment for manufacturing. The team consists of approximately 18 Mechanical Engineers, with additional support from Electrical Design/Drafting and Controls Engineering teams.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
