Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with over three years of experience. The ideal candidate will work directly with suppliers and engage with clients daily, contributing to innovative design and manufacturing processes. This role requires the ability to develop new concepts, troubleshoot issues, and perform fact-finding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with suppliers to ensure design specifications are met.
• Communicate with clients daily to address and understand their needs.
• Spend approximately 15% of time on the shop floor to oversee and ensure project success.
• Develop new concepts and approaches to enhance design processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the design and manufacturing phases.

Essential Skills

• Over 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
• Proficiency in CREO with at least 3 years of experience.
• Strong design and manufacturing abilities.
• Experience with heavy equipment in industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, or Heavy Machinery.
• Proficient in GD&T, Engineering, Drafting, CAD, and Manufacturing Engineering.

Work Environment

The position is primarily based in an office setting, with occasional visits to the shop floor. The work environment requires a collaborative approach and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
