Manufacturing Process Engineer
We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Process Engineer responsible for designing and optimizing fluid process systems and mechanical solutions. This role involves developing process flow diagrams, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and interpret process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and mass/energy balances.
- Design and layout fluid process systems using SolidWorks 3D to meet customer process and equipment needs.
- Size and specify process equipment such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers, CIP systems, pasteurizers, and filtration units.
- Create assembly drawings for manufacturing, including Bill of Materials (BOM) and supporting documentation.
- Prepare RFQs, performance specifications, and vendor evaluations.
- Evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, yield improvement, and cost reduction.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations.
- Perform process capability studies and risk assessments.
- Prepare and maintain accurate process documentation, including SOPs and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proficiency with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with at least 5 years of experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with CIP systems, pasteurization, and hygienic design principles.
- Experience in process engineering, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to create assembly drawings using SolidWorks 3D.
Work Environment
The work environment is a clean manufacturing setting, featuring a beautiful facility complete with an Oktoberfest patio and cigar lounge. The role involves collaboration with clients such as Eagle Park Brewing, Raised Grain, Monster, Cocola, and Pepsi.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00/hr.
