Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for modifying and optimizing CNC laser programs for Laserdyne Prima 795 and 795 XL multi-axis laser systems. You will play a crucial role in program and operation of fiber-optic laser systems, ensuring proper alignment, beam delivery, and process stability.
Responsibilities
- Modify and optimize CNC laser programs for multi-axis laser systems.
- Program and operate fiber-optic laser systems for optimal performance.
- Create detailed work instructions, tooling sheets, and setup documents.
- Select appropriate laser parameters for various machining processes.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Set up machining fixtures and ensure proper workholding.
- Perform test cuts, first-article validation, and process qualification.
- Troubleshoot programming, motion control, and laser process issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on process improvements.
- Work with the Tool Design team to assist in design improvements.
Essential Skills
- At least five years of hands-on experience in aerospace CNC contract manufacturing.
- Minimum of one year of experience in programming multi-axis laser cutters.
- Five years of experience with GD&T, especially in aerospace applications.
- Proficiency with Solidworks or similar CAD software.
- Experience with ERP systems, specifically Omega or similar platforms.
- Competency in reading blueprints and interpreting work instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with MS Office products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Preferably a four-year technical degree, though significant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in CNC sheet metal forming and cutting is preferred.
- Mechanical Engineering degree is desirable.
Work Environment
This position is based in an office setting but requires spending time on the factory floor to collaborate with machinists and operators. The Manufacturing Engineer will review the status of routers, BOMs, and station plans as necessary. This role does not involve providing direct supervision or labor.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
