Manufacturing Engineer

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide comprehensive support to our manufacturing operations, focusing on project management and continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of centralized improvement plans, ensuring quality and efficiency within the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall Manufacturing Engineering Support for manufacturing operations.
• Actively carry out and supervise tasks related to projects.
• Guide and support project members, ensuring successful project completion.
• Evaluate and measure project results and participate in verification and validation work.
• Coordinate and train staff on continuous improvement initiatives and audit current procedures.
• Make recommendations for customer standards, quality assurance, and efficiency.
• Develop and communicate a centralized continuous improvement plan.
• Present ideas and plans for improvement, backed by data and metrics.
• Engage employees and overcome resistance to changes in duties.
• Create and conduct formal training courses for process improvements.
• Provide informal coaching on new or changed improvement initiatives.
• Participate in the development process for new products and changes in existing products.
• Report issues and recurrent defects to the Engineering team.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for design reviews and support company 5S initiatives.
• Design/build simple equipment and assure work instructions are correct.
• Conduct time studies and ensure assembly tools are available.
• Abide by all safety protocols.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical or electrical skills.
• Experience with leak detection.
• Ability to design/build simple equipment (tools, jigs, fixtures, racking).
• Ability to write technical documents.
• Technical understanding of HVAC systems and components.
• Understanding of Management system's standards (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001).
• Understanding of customer requirements and improvement tools (e.g., 8D, PPAP, Lean, Poka Yoke, 5&Why analysis).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• College degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and using MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Organized, energetic, and with strong problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated diplomacy and professionalism.

Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and innovation. Engineers will work closely with cross-functional teams and will have access to company-provided computers for data analysis and graphic presentation. The role requires adherence to all safety protocols and supports initiatives like 5S to maintain an efficient workspace.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
