Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to lead and manage the daily operations and troubleshooting of SMT and THT processes. This position focuses on implementing advanced manufacturing techniques in the aerospace and defense industry, specifically in energy storage product lines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing the daily operation and troubleshooting of SMT and THT processes.
  • Setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining SMT equipment, including MYCenter, MY300, and MY700 systems.
  • Programming and optimizing Mirtec AOI/SPI systems for accurate inspection and process control.
  • Leading selective soldering processes and maintaining Universal VCD equipment.
  • Overseeing reflow soldering processes, including oven profiling and process validation.
  • Participating in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, providing DFM input and ensuring smooth production ramp-up.
  • Utilizing strong knowledge of MPM Stencil Printer and Jet Printer Programming.
  • Developing, documenting, and maintaining PCBA manufacturing processes in accordance with IPC-610 and JSTD-001 with Space Addendum standards.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements in yield, efficiency, and throughput through data-driven root cause analysis and process control.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with SMT and THT technologies, including MYCenter, MY300, and MY700 systems.
  • Proficiency in programming Mirtec AOI/SPI systems for inspection and process control.
  • Strong knowledge of PCB manufacturing and electronics components.
  • 5+ years of experience in PCB Assembly on both SMT and THT technologies.
  • Experience working in the electronics industry.
  • Programming experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • BA degree in engineering-related field.

Work Environment:

This role is onsite five days a week. You will work closely with three other engineers. The team is currently very busy due to a backlog caused by external factors. The work involves collaboration with advanced power conversion and control equipment designs, utilizing software-based command and control systems, active power factor correction, and data bus communication technologies.

Job Type & Location:

This is a permanent position based out of Avenel, NJ.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $120,000.00 - $160,000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
