Environmental Test Engineer- Night Shift
Shift: Sunday-Wednesday night shift
Location: Kirkland, WA
We are seeking a hands-on, inquisitive Test Engineer to join our team, specializing in mechanisms testing within an environmental test lab. This role requires experience with TVAC chambers, thermal cycling, and lab testing protocols. The ideal candidate is technically curious, enjoys troubleshooting, and is eager to engage with automated test scripts and lab diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Conduct tests on sub-assemblies and full systems in TVAC chambers, thermal cycling setups, and other test environments within an environmental test lab.
- Author, review, and troubleshoot automated test scripts using LabVIEW, NI TestStand, and various coding languages such as Python, C++, and C#.
- Collaborate with the software development team to understand and utilize test automation code.
- Diagnose and resolve issues when test setups fail to meet expected parameters, such as temperature issues in TVAC chambers.
- Analyze test scripts to identify bottlenecks or failure points, recommend fixes to script authors, and assist in optimizing the process.
- Apply a broad technical skill set to troubleshoot lab hardware, networking issues, and system configurations.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to support testing and improve efficiency.
- Engage in hands-on work in the lab, applying a deep understanding of lab protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
Essential Skills
- Experience working in an environmental test lab setting with hands-on test execution.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, C++, C#) for script review and automation.
- Familiarity with LabVIEW, NI TestStand, and other automation tools.
- Strong problem-solving ability in diagnosing test failures and hardware/software integration issues.
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
