Responsibilities:
Ensure the machining lines operate efficiently and continuously.
Conduct continuous improvement projects and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Troubleshoot and modify CNC machines and PLCs.
Perform time studies, labor studies, and defect reduction studies.
Implement process control changes and cost-saving projects.
Optimize machining processes and CNC programming.
Support the axel line as part of the drivetrain implementation.
Essential Skills:
Proficiency in CNC machining and PLC programming.
Experience in troubleshooting and modifying CNC and PLC systems.
Strong understanding of machining processes and CNC programming, preferably in engine manufacturing.
Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Experience with selection and optimization of cutting tools.
Ability to read part drawings and understand GD&T.
Experience with cycle time and quality improvements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or equivalent professional automotive experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills for creating technical reports and documentation.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and hands-on as needed.
Experience working in a production environment with Production, Maintenance, and Quality personnel.
Ability to develop and manage schedules to meet challenging deadlines.
Experience managing small to medium-scale capital projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Inventor.
Self-starter and team player with a positive attitude.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $50.00/hr.
