Lead Engineer
Join an innovative team dedicated to advancing sustainable technologies for electric vehicles. This role focuses on supporting inverter programs within the xEV Regional PE group, ensuring equipment and processes align with production specifications and customer requirements. Work with various departments and management levels to lead start-up projects and coordinate personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment specifications align with regional requirements to produce products.
- Confirm equipment installation meets required specifications.
- Ensure equipment safety for all associates.
- Verify that all product requirements are met through online testing.
- Assist in setting up testing trials/experiments for customer/internal issues, including countermeasure activities.
- Manage small groups and individuals.
- Evaluate new inverter products, processes, and equipment.
- Support development of technology, resource, and production requirements.
- Address new business opportunity equipment problems and develop solutions.
- Other duties as assigned to support corporate objectives.
Essential Skills:
- 4-year university degree in a related field or equivalent experience and education.
- Work authorization in the United States.
- Engineering skills including knowledge of control systems, robotics, mechanics, pneumatics, optical inspection, and computer programming.
- Quick and accurate data-driven decision-making and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy with personal computers and manufacturing systems.
- Willingness to support corporate culture with an absolute focus on ethics and fairness.
- Ability to lead a team of people.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Work experience within the automotive industry, with emphasis on electro/mechanical devices.
- 4-year university degree in engineering or related field and 5-10 years related work experience.
- Knowledge of EV components such as inverters and motors.
- Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing.
- Well organized, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple deadlines and projects.
- Excellent communication skills to prepare and present information to all levels of associates, management, and customers.
- Ability to lead projects obtaining support from multiple departments.
- Ability to prepare schedules, budgets, and reports.

This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
