Civil Engineer – Land Development & Permitting (Hybrid | Orange County, CA)

What You'll Do
- Spearhead land development projects from concept to approval, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.
- Prepare and process civil engineering plans for city and agency review.
- Lead internal meetings and provide expert guidance on design and permitting strategies.
- Engage directly with clients to address technical questions and shape project outcomes.
- Use Civil 3D and AutoCAD to develop high-quality design documents.
- Apply deep knowledge of California permitting and CEQA to ensure compliance.
- Leverage established workflows and templates to streamline project execution.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on land development.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of California permitting procedures and CEQA.
- Experience submitting plans to cities and public agencies.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in leading technical discussions.
- PE license in California preferred—or actively pursuing licensure.

- Familiarity with industry-standard templates and workflows.
- Background in private-sector land development, especially in commercial, industrial, mixed-use, or master-planned communities.
- Strategic BD mindset with the ability to contribute to revenue growth and client acquisition.
Compensation & Growth
- Base salary up to $250K, with flexibility up to $300K for candidates bringing a $10M+ book of business.
- Hybrid work schedule with a 9/80 option (every other Friday off).
