Labview Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled LabVIEW Test Engineer who is comfortable performing a wide range of administrative and strategic tasks. The ideal candidate will have software writing and editing experience and will contribute to developing and maintaining automated test equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand complex problems that are not routine.
• Ensure the implementation of assigned actions as per the manufacturing action plan, including audits, failure analyses, and improvement plans.
• Collaborate with IT resources to ensure the correct operation of test software and data systems based on SQL database servers, including necessary data maintenance.
• Communicate issues to the R&D department, submit forms, and markups for documentation updates.
• Support analysis and continuous improvement of production test yield by identifying root causes and proposing solutions.
• Assist in technology transfers of test processes across the global supply chain.
• Support the definition of test requirements and creation of test processes for new products as part of the new product introduction team.
• Ensure the implementation of new test processes and tools according to assigned action plans.
• Apply problem anticipation and solving techniques, with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Conduct training in electronics and analyze electrical schematics.
• Use common tools for mechanical disassembly and reassembly of various test equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience with NI LabVIEW and Test stand.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows-based PC hardware and software across multiple versions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong customer-focused relationships.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test equipment using commercial instruments like the NI PXI system.
• Experience in electronic assembly/PCBA manufacturing environments.
• Use of boundary scan tools such as xjtag and Corelis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of hardware and software testing programs.
• Experience with C++, LabWindows, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge of SQL and test equipment.
• Experience using Linux in a Windows test environment.

Work Environment

The position involves working in a technology-driven environment that requires navigating various software platforms, including Windows and Linux. The role may involve hands-on work with automated test equipment and electronic assemblies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
