Lab Operations Coordinator

Location: Shrewsbury, MA

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Lab Operations Coordinator to support laboratory functions including sample preparation, chemical testing, inventory management, and quality control. This role is ideal for someone with strong multitasking abilities, a background in lab operations, and a passion for maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and test experimental formulations and customer samples.
• Mix chemical solutions following standardized formulas or experimental procedures.
• Perform color and olfactory evaluations on samples.
• Maintain lab organization and ensure proper documentation of all formulations.
• Operate and maintain lab testing equipment in accordance with SOPs.
• Execute lab test batches and color matching, recording results accurately.
• Perform data entry for material development and project tracking.
• Prepare ASTM slabs and Certificates of Analysis.
• Release materials that pass QC testing and maintain customer certification files.
• Comply with ISO 9001 standards and lab safety protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with sample and media preparation.
• Familiarity with chemical handling, pH testing, and lab logistics.
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
• Proficiency in data entry and documentation.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
• Ability to set daily plans for equipment usage and testing schedules.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a lab operations or QC role.
• Exposure to ASTM testing procedures.
• Experience preparing Certificates of Analysis and maintaining cert files.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
