Interior Supplier Quality Engineer
As a Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer, you will represent our manufacturing plants in ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained. You will lead product launches and oversee current model quality and capacity. You will have the authority to make quality decisions and sign legal documents such as the Part Submission Warrant.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance efforts for product launches and current models.
- Make informed quality decisions on behalf of the company.
- Authorize legal documents like the Part Submission Warrant.
- Collaborate with suppliers to enhance product quality and capacity.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Systems/Processes, Continuous Improvement, or Lean in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of AIAG APQP and PPAP processes.
- Robust manufacturing experience and program management experience.
- Proficient in basic computer skills and quality systems knowledge.
- High interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as Molding, Coating/Painting, and Assembly.
- Preferred experience with commodities like Exterior Lighting and Mechanisms.
- Preferred problem-solving skills such as Green Belt/Black Belt, Red X, etc.
Work Environment
This position requires working onsite 5 days per week. The work environment involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained across various manufacturing processes.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.30 - $46.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
