Geotechnical Engineer

A small geotechnical engineering firm in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for an EIT-level candidate who is looking to grow into a project management role. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with field testing, including test pits and boring, and be comfortable writing technical reports based on their findings.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct field testing and data collection for geotechnical investigations
2. Write detailed engineering reports based on field data
3. Collaborate with team members to manage projects from start to finish
4. Perform geotechnical analysis to support engineering decisions

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of geotechnical engineering experience
• Licensed EIT with a goal of obtaining PE
• Ability to provide redacted examples of previously written reports
• Experience in wall design is a plus
• Knowledge of material testing, inspection, and concrete testing

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $47.00/hr.
