Embedded Systems Engineer
Join a leading company in medical devices, specializing in catheters used to treat diseases or perform surgical procedures. You will work on an innovative project involving an over-the-wire catheter with variable distal shapes to effectively ablate the pulmonary vein in a range of unique patient anatomies.
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, develop, and test firmware systems.
- Document all developments according to medical standards.
- Define the scope of projects.
- Troubleshoot firmware/hardware issues.
- Develop STM32 microcontrollers with bootloaders and concurrency management.
- Develop embedded C bare metal solutions.
- Ask questions to fill knowledge gaps in firmware.
- Perform board testing if needed.
Essential Skills
- 5 years of experience in Embedded C.
- 5 years of firmware development.
- 5 years of bare metal or RTOS development.
- 5 years of microcontroller MCU experience.
- Hardware understanding.
- Understanding of English and French.
Additional Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with Canbus.
- Experience in a regulated medical environment.
- Knowledge of bootloaders.
- Knowledge of VHDL and FPGA.
- Bilingual.
- Experience with STM32, Keil, and Parallels interface/screen.

This is a Contract position based out of Montreal, QC. The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr. This is a hybrid position in Montreal,QC.
