Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician will support the product team by providing on-site service and installation of specialized equipment. This role involves creating quotes, potentially selling products, and fostering strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site service and installation of equipment.
• Create accurate quotes for service and product sales.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Troubleshoot, retrofit, and repair mechanical, electrical, and automated equipment.
• Utilize knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, hydraulics, and pneumatics in field operations.

Essential Skills

• Associate's Degree in Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in PLC and HMI troubleshooting on automated equipment.
• At least 2 years of field service experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 70%.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with paper mill or converting equipment.
• Familiarity with Allen Bradley Contrologix PLCs and Panelview HMIs.
• Willingness to obtain a passport.
• Entry-level candidates with proven experience in PLCs and control technology may also be considered.

Work Environment

The role is based in a company known for its expertise in the paper industry. The office environment is business casual, while fieldwork involves working in paper mills and converting operations, which may be hot, dirty, and loud.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Appleton, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
