Field Service Technician

As a Field Service Technician, you will travel to client sites, primarily around the Des Moines metro area with some travel throughout Iowa. This role does not require overnight travel. You will work closely with engineers on the startup and commissioning of customer systems in electronic, electrical, and pneumatic domains. You will also follow and update drawing packages as needed, set up workstations with necessary software, and communicate project updates and timelines with project managers. Troubleshooting issues during startup and maintenance will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate degree in HVAC, Industrial Technology, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• 6+ months of experience in troubleshooting mechanical or electrical equipment.
• Proficiency in using a computer for programming.

Work Environment

You will primarily be onsite at customer locations, such as data centers and schools, with occasional visits to the office in Johnston. The role includes a company truck, tools, computer, and phone. While there may be opportunities to work with other technicians, much of the work will be independent. Expect occasional overtime, especially during project commissioning, which will be compensated at time and a half. This position offers significant growth opportunities and exposure to a wide network of contractors and vendors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.06/hr.
