Field Service Technician

Join our team as a Field Service Technician, where you will have the opportunity to travel frequently, both locally and out-of-state, to provide exceptional service and support. This role is ideal for curious, mechanically minded problem-solvers who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy working with their hands. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring precision and regulatory compliance in your work. This position requires a high degree of autonomy and accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel 100% day-to-day within an hour radius and up to 50% out-of-state when needed.
  • Work on weekends and potential overtime, approximately 5% of the time, with additional pay.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment issues.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining findings and building trust.
  • Manage your schedule independently and embrace change.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all tasks.
  • Use service software, tablets, reporting tools, and measurement instruments.
  • Visit multiple customer sites daily and maintain a valid driver's license.

Essential Skills:

  • Mechanical aptitude and electromechanical equipment knowledge.
  • 2+ years of experience in relevant fields.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in technical communication.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance, calibration, and test procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • NSF and CETA certification (training provided if not already certified).
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Presentation and high-level communication skills.
  • Ability to work in cleanrooms, including full body gowning.
  • Experience with cleanroom testing, scanning filters, and pressure/temp testing.
  • Technical education from a 2-year technical college or 4-year program preferred.

Work Environment:

As a Field Service Technician, you will travel to customer sites including cleanrooms, medical device, and pharmaceutical facilities. You will work on equipment such as Fume Hoods, Biosafety Cabinets, Medical HVAC Systems, Laminar Flows, and Autoclaves. The role requires full body gowning including booties, lab coat, gloves, hair net, and beard net in cleanroom settings. Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $93600.00/yr.
