Field Service Technician
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician with expertise in robotics engineering and systems integration. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems, PLC commissioning, and networking troubleshooting. This role involves extensive travel to meet technology demands domestically.
Responsibilities
- Follow written procedures to facilitate commissioning of workcells.
- Troubleshoot issues and document solutions.
- Execute test plans to ensure quality commissioning.
- Communicate work status effectively to the commissioning lead.
- Capture daily work aspects using tools like ServiceNow, Quip, and messaging applications.
- Develop and refine detailed procedural documentation for systems integration and commissioning tasks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners for successful robotics systems integration into warehouse operations.
- Travel extensively to meet technology demands domestically.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in FANUC commissioning and operation.
- Experience with Siemens PLC commissioning.
- Knowledge and use of PROFINET architecture.
- Experience in computer vision.
- Basic Linux terminal commands for file navigation and copying.
- Proficiency in low voltage electrical troubleshooting, including sensors and 24VDC controls.
- Networking troubleshooting skills, including NAT, switch, and Ethernet devices.
- Daily and weekly task tracking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with ASRS robots.
- Electrical and schematic knowledge.
Work Environment
The work environment involves extensive domestic travel, working with advanced robotics systems, and collaborating with various cross-functional teams. The role requires adapting to different warehouse settings and utilizing various technologies and tools to ensure successful systems integration.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
