The Field Service Technician will travel to client sites, primarily around the Des Moines metro area, with some travel throughout Iowa. The role involves working with engineers on the startup and commissioning of customer systems in the electronic, electrical, and pneumatic sectors. Responsibilities also include following drawing packages, updating them as needed, setting up workstations with necessary software for programming, and communicating project updates and timelines with the project manager. The technician will troubleshoot issues that arise during startup and maintenance.

The technician will work onsite at various locations including customer sites, data centers, and schools. There is an office in Johnston, but technicians are rarely required to visit. A company truck, tools, computer, and phone will be provided. The role involves a lot of independent work, though collaboration with other technicians may be necessary depending on the project's size. Occasional overtime is expected, especially during project commissioning, compensated at time and a half. During slow periods, there may be opportunities to travel to other project sites for additional overtime.

Pay and Benefits:
