Field Service Engineer
As a Field Service Engineer in the Operations Department, you will be responsible for installations and ongoing improvements of intelligent material handling solutions and cutting-edge applications. You will work with e-commerce companies, performing warehouse installations, maintenance, and integration tasks. This role involves maintaining project timelines on-site within a highly automated warehouse facility, leading a team to complete projects from concept to completion, and interfacing with robotics. Extensive travel throughout North America to customer distribution sites is required, with all work-related travel expenses reimbursed by the company. Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, maintenance, and integration of intelligent material handling solutions.
- Maintain project timelines on-site within a highly automated warehouse facility.
- Interface with robotics and lead a team to complete project scope from concept to completion.
- Travel extensively throughout North America to customer distribution sites.
- Troubleshoot and deploy systems, including robotic cells and material-handling equipment.
Essential Skills
- Experience in installation, debugging, project management, and robotics.
- Background in construction, warehousing, or equipment handling.
- Experience working in automated warehouse facilities (project management).
- Experience supporting installation of construction materials or other hardware.
- Ability to read CAD drawings and proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Capability to lead concept-to-completion installs of robotic systems.
- Strong understanding of computer systems and detail-oriented personality.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage relationships within internal teams and with client contacts.
- Successful experience working both as a team member and independently.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently or lead others.
- Problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
- Forklift and Aerial lift certifications are a plus.
Work Environment
The position involves working in warehouses, distribution, and fulfillment centers across North America with nearly 100% travel. Projects typically last two weeks, with the opportunity to return home every two weeks for the weekend. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
