Field Controls Engineer

This position involves traveling to large material handling sites to perform controls qualifications, specifically I/O checks, on newly installed equipment. The position ideally suits someone based in a central location, with projects primarily located in the western region.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to various sites up to 80% of the time, with an estimated schedule of Monday to Friday over three weeks, followed by a one-week break.
  • Perform I/O checks on 10-20 conveyance lines at material handling sites.
  • Engage in PLC programming and debug with vendor, primarily Ladder Logic with Allen Bradley, comprising 75% of the role.
  • Ensure vendor quality assurance and compliance with IQ/OQ standards.

Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in PLC Programming
  • PLC programming from SCRATCH experience is a MUST
  • Ability to travel extensively. Competitive pay, lodging, airfare, per diem, etc is offered.

Work Environment:

When not traveling, candidates have the flexibility to work remotely from home.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

The candidate will need 5+ Years of Experience in PLC Programming and debug experience.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
