The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform installations and troubleshoot automated foundry equipment. This role requires extensive automation knowledge, particularly in PLC programming and troubleshooting. The engineer will travel both nationally and internationally for approximately 60% of the year, with projects often lasting up to a week. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and PLCs, and be adept at maintaining strong customer relationships.

Work Environment:
This position requires extensive travel, with 60% of the time spent on the road and the remaining 40% on-site in Grand Ledge, MI, unless working remotely. Remote workers may have up to 80% travel. When not traveling, duties include online troubleshooting, documentation, and computer work. The role offers exposure to highly automated manufacturing equipment, 10 paid holidays, 2 weeks of PTO, access to Udemy after 6 months, per diem, a company credit card, and mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use. The position can be remote if located in PA, GA, WI, IL, MI, or IA, with training in Michigan provided with hotel and travel expenses covered.

Pay and Benefits:
