Facilities Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Engineer to join our team. The role involves performing corrective and preventative maintenance on building systems and lab equipment, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, maintaining GMP documentation using CMMS software, supporting off-hours emergency repairs and on-call duties, and supervising external vendors while inspecting completed work. You will also operate and monitor building automation systems including BMS, EMS, and PLCs.

Daily inspection and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.

Hands-on work with motors, pumps, chillers, boilers, and lab equipment like autoclaves and cryogenic units.

Accurately log maintenance activities in CMMS, preferably Blue Mountain, to meet FDA and GMP standards.

Oversee third-party contractors to ensure quality work and adherence to safety and regulatory protocols.

5+ years of experience in facilities engineering.

Associates degree.

Hands-on experience with chemical manufacturing equipment.

Familiarity with GMP environments and FDA regulations.

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Experience in biopharma or cell/gene therapy facilities.

CFC refrigerant license.

Experience with building automation systems.

Familiarity with Blue Mountain CMMS software.

The Facilities Technician will work in a state-of-the-art lentiviral vector manufacturing facility located in Louisville, CO. This is an on-site role requiring daily presence at the facility. The culture emphasizes teamwork across departments and values diverse perspectives. The facility operates under strict cGMP guidelines, ensuring safety and quality. The position requires the use of PPE including gloves, protective clothing, and safety glasses. Physical activities include standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 30 lbs. The technician will support both routine and emergency maintenance, including on-call availability. This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, Colorado.

The pay range for this position is $32.64 - $40.34/hr.
