Controls Technician
We are seeking a dedicated controls technician to join a real-time logistics provider supporting several manufacturing facilities in the Ohio area. This role involves managing and implementing solutions in a material handling environment, focusing on automotive parts and sub-assembled parts.
Responsibilities
- Identify, justify, source, and implement solutions within a material handling environment.
- Develop and design equipment to support assembly operations as part of a team.
- Monitor and improve current processes and equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot process, electrical, and mechanical issues for production departments.
- Manage projects including preparing technical requirements and documents requesting/justifying capital.
- Schedule and conduct technical project reviews with the management team.
- Create and manage schedules for capital and expense projects.
- Manage various contractors during repairs/projects.
- Create and prepare procedures for contractors' requirements.
Essential Skills
- PLC Troubleshooting Experience.
- Electrical Automation experience.
- Robotics exposure.
- Strong knowledge of equipment design and installation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent related working experience.
- Basic understanding of PLC systems and system controls.
- Understanding of vision systems and DC torque equipment management (training provided).
- Strong PC Skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with design and electrical design, including AutoCAD and schematic drawings.
The work environment is primarily in a manufacturing and distribution setting. The position operates on the 1st Shift from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime available for associates. The role offers a long-term opportunity with potential for direct hire and upward mobility within the organization.
This is a Contract position based out of East Liberty, Ohio.
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
