Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to create and update AUTOCAD drawings, develop 3D models using additive manufacturing equipment, and revise engineering drawings. You will utilize computer-aided design equipment and manual tools to complete layout drawings. Additionally, you will support the development and improvement of carts, shelves, and devices for Production and Logistics using Creform and FlexQube pipes. Your efforts will also focus on supporting and executing Lean initiatives and quick wins to impact Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost goals.
Responsibilities
- Create and update AUTOCAD drawings.
- Develop 3D models using additive manufacturing equipment.
- Revise engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, notes, and standard data.
- Utilize computer-aided design equipment and manual tools.
- Complete layout drawings in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices.
- Develop major layouts of engineering drawings.
- Support Moonshine Shop in developing or improving carts, shelves, and devices for Production and Logistics.
- Execute Lean initiatives and quick wins that impact Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost goals.
- Participate in Lean events and perform 5S inspections and audits.
- Prepare detailed drawings and contribute design modifications to improve product quality and productivity.
- Maintain and troubleshoot 3D printers.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to provide solutions for improving Safety, Quality, and Process Efficiency.
Essential Skills
- Technical knowledge and experience with AutoCAD software and CAD standards.
- Proficiency in developing mechanical drawings.

- Basic knowledge of 5S & Lean Manufacturing tools and principles.

- Mechanical Engineer Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience with CAD software.
- 1+ years of experience with 3D Modeling software.
- Ability to lift up to 33 lbs.
- Reliability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Solidworks.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing.
- Experience in production support.
- Tooling and cart design experience with Creform and Flexpipe.
- 3D printing experience.
- Experience with Kaizen.
Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing environment. Candidates must be able to work cooperatively in a fast-paced setting. Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet the demands of the position.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr.
