Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of custom automation equipment and robotic systems. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer eager to gain hands-on experience working alongside senior engineers on real-world industrial automation projects from concept through build and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the mechanical design of custom automation equipment, robotic cells, fixtures, and machine assemblies
• Create and modify 3D models, detailed drawings, and assemblies in SolidWorks
• Support engineering documentation including bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, and revision control
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, and production teams during system development and build
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from senior engineers
• Assist with prototype builds, troubleshooting, and on-site equipment support as needed
• Follow engineering standards, safety requirements, and internal design best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
• Internship, co-op, or project experience in automation, robotics, or industrial machinery
• Familiarity with robotic systems, conveyors, or machine-tending applications
• Experience working in a fast-paced, custom engineering environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leander, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
