Design Engineer

Looking for a entry level Design Engineer to join the team of this manufacturing company! Looking for someone with internship experience or 1-2 years experience. Some basic design and Solidworks experience is what they are looking for.

Responsibilities

• Control the ECO process while maintaining open communication with sales teams.
• Learn and apply calculations for pressure vessels using Codeware.
• Manage internal ERP by controlling item masters, BOMs, and routing steps.
• Adapt and integrate internal manufacturing capabilities.
• Serve as the controller for PDM.
• Prepare diagrams and drafts for mechanical devices and machines.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerance stack up using measuring instruments.
• Comprehend and utilize Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Review and modify designs to reduce production deficiencies.
• Provide timely updates for drawing completion and workload.
• Coordinate with colleagues regarding complex diagrams.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gurnee, IL.

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
