Engineering Test Technician

This role supports powertrain development by building, modifying, and maintaining mechanical and electrical test fixtures in a lab environment. The position blends hands-on fabrication, machining, wiring, and troubleshooting with close collaboration alongside engineers to execute manual and automated tests. Ideal candidates bring strong mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting skills, and experience supporting R&D and prototype testing.

Description

Build powertrain test fixtures

Modify test fixtures

Weld steel fixture components

Machine parts using mill and lathe

Assemble mechanical components

Perform wiring and soldering

Troubleshoot mechanical issues

Troubleshoot electrical issues

Run manual and automated tests

Work with engineers during fixture development

Skills

CAD, welding, mechanical testing & troubleshooting, electrical troubleshoot, powertrain, motors, engine repair, turbine

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South San Francisco, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
