Engineering Test Technician

Entry-Level Electrical Engineering Technician - Multiple Openings!

Pay: $25/hour

Are you a recent Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology graduate looking to jump-start your career in the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry? This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work alongside a talented engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Collaborate with electrical engineers to conduct tests and validate designs.
• Test Fixture Design: Support production by designing test fixtures and implementing test protocols during manufacturing.
• Design Testing: Execute and document test protocols provided by electrical engineers.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose field returns to determine root cause of failure.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed test reports and repair evaluation forms for engineering review.
• Prototype Creation: Build small proof-of-concept prototypes (e.g., cables) for early-stage design testing.
• PCB Rework: Perform soldering and component changes on PCB assemblies during prototype bench testing.

Requirements

• Proficiency with tools such as multimeters, soldering stations, oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
• Accurate record-keeping and ability to create clear written reports.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainview, NY.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
