Support project by executing chemical and petroleum lab scale experiments. Buildup of the test equipment, compile and report test data. Mechanical aptitude is a must. Work with engineer to generate mass balances, data compilations. Perform sample collection. Training will be provided by chemist or lead engineer. Perform equipment maintenance/troubleshooting. Candidate needs to be able to take apart equipment and rebuild as changes will be made to pilot plant. Be able to read drawings- AutoCAD. Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs instrumentation, mechanical and electrical equipment including, but is not limited to the process demonstration unit, pumps, and other auxiliary equipment. Assists in the safe start-up, operation, and shutdown of plant equipment from outside the control room. Visually inspects and listens to equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication. Monitor plant air and water emissions from outside the control room. Will be helping with operations of plant- SCADA software - Training will be provided from lead engineer on shift.

Additional skills and qualifications: High school diploma. Experience with MS Office. Knowledge of tubing and pipe-fittings, understand basic fluid flow and gas flow and pressure. Knowledge of Word, excel for reporting. Mechanical aptitude is a must. Must be willing to work overtime and shift work. Instrumentation and board operations experience is preferred.

Pay and benefits: The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
