The Engineering Technician β Automotive will observe, monitor, and report the results of computer-controlled engine and vehicle tests to evaluate engine lubricants, fuel, and overall engine performance. The role involves following detailed written and verbal instructions, calibrating test equipment, maintaining accurate test records, and performing routine engine maintenance in a laboratory setting.
This role is based in a laboratory setting where the technician monitors engines and fluids as part of controlled test procedures. The work involves operating and observing computer-controlled engine and vehicle test systems, handling automotive parts, and working around running engines and associated test equipment. Ear protection and a lab coat are provided and used as part of standard safety practices. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to work in an environment where engines, lubricants, and fuels are routinely handled. The role follows a rotating or assigned shift schedule, and candidates must be willing to work any of the following shifts: 12:00 a.m.β8:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m.β4:30 p.m., or 4:00 p.m.β12:30 a.m.
This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.
The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $19.50/hr.
