Senior Engineering Technician
The Senior Engineering Technician is responsible for product testing, improving product performance, resolving product issues, and driving the technical development and enhancement of our test systems. This role involves leading lab projects and initiatives, as well as mentoring other technicians.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diverse and complex mechanical tests using a variety of electrical and mechanical test equipment and techniques.
- Lead lab activities and mentor other technicians.
- Set up and troubleshoot data acquisition equipment.
- Serve as the primary advisor when questions or concerns arise involving testing, product, and test processes.
- Provide feedback on workload and test status to the lab supervisor to set work priorities.
- Effectively convey information, express opinions, and motivate others through strong speaking and writing skills.
- Make product improvement recommendations based on test results, observations, comparisons to other products, and competitive product knowledge.
- Drive the continuous improvement of lab equipment, test systems, processes, and methods to improve efficiency.
- Utilize necessary fabrication tools to make modifications to components or products.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in test procedure programming and LabVIEW.
- Strong troubleshooting experience for root cause analysis and problem resolution.
- Ability to work independently and self-directed with a focus on company and customer goals.
- Knowledge of LabVIEW, Visual Basic, and/or PLC.

Work Environment
Work involves leading projects in a lab setting, utilizing various electrical and mechanical test equipment. Job Type & Location
This is a contract position based out of Kohler, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
