Engineering Technician

As an Engineering Technician, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the creation of cutting-edge products that have a positive impact on our customers by flexing your technical expertise, engaging your problem-solving skills, and working as a member of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams to conduct testing and evaluation of product prototypes to various company and national standards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a keen attention to detail to prepare complete records of tests conducted, procedures used, and testing results, reporting any unusual results that may affect the outcome.
  • Utilize knowledge and experience in the safe operation of laboratory equipment and adherence to ISO procedures.
  • Participate in laboratory and equipment maintenance and calibration tasks in accordance with laboratory policy.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in testing and mechanically inclined tasks.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use hand tools and familiarity with programming.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and report writing skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in the use of hand tools, testing equipment, and/or programming.

Work Environment

This position is based in the testing lab for the Plumbing Americas division. Technicians will use water and other substances to test plumbing fixtures and toilets. Responsibilities include installing and setting up products to be tested in testing fixtures, initiating tests, monitoring for proper operation, and breaking down and submitting test data in an Excel spreadsheet. The team consists of about 12-16 individuals, some working in the faucets lab and others on toilets.

This is a Contract position based out of Kohler, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
