About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and support our engineering, manufacturing, and CNC programming teams. This role is critical in ensuring product quality, process compliance, customer satisfaction, and cross-functional alignment across projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep manufacturing knowledge, and the ability to drive technical excellence in a fast-paced, AS9100-regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Quality, Audits & Compliance

• Support internal and external audits.
• Establish, maintain, train, and audit internal and customer quality flow-down requirements.
• Assure and verify compliance of manufacturing methods with customer purchase orders, drawings, and specifications.
• Review and approve all FAIRs, PPAPs, PFMEAs, and MRB activities.
• Lead investigations into root cause and corrective actions for assigned programs.
• Support and oversee RFQs in alignment with QMS procedures.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with technical, project, and manufacturing engineers, CNC programmers, estimators, and shop floor teams to ensure programs meet requirements.
• Coordinate with functional managers and product line supervisors to ensure all necessary reviews and approvals are completed.
• Participate in customer and supplier discussions regarding technical, quality, schedule, and cost issues.

Program & Project Leadership

• Monitor project execution to ensure scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Ensure engineering activities align with company policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Lead customer product evaluations, including production readiness reviews.
• Ensure completion of Phase 3 tasks and obtain required approvals.

Manufacturing & Engineering Oversight

• Manage and prioritize tooling and program requests for CNC programming and manufacturing engineering teams.
• Review and approve BOMs, routers, fixture designs, and CNC programs.
• Review, approve, and validate customer purchase orders.
• Approve estimator quotes for accuracy and compliance.
• Review and disposition repairs, reworks, and nonconformances.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to new product development and design change milestones.
• Recommend safety and ergonomic improvements to tools, workstations, and material handling devices.
• Build strong customer relationships to support business growth.

Additional Expectations

• Ability to perform duties required of the estimator role.
• Occasional travel to customers and supply chain partners.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Expert-level background in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, and engineering leadership.
• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of AS9100 and aerospace documentation requirements.
• PMP certification (preferred or required per company standards).
• Knowledge of fiber laser, welding, and precision machining operations.
• Proven ability to manage complex engineering programs and teams.

This is a Permanent position based out of Palm Bay, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115,000.00 - $130,000.00/yr.

Relocation Allowance: Up to $5,000 STIP Participation- varies based on role, company performance (but we have paid out STIP over the last 5 years) Role would be onsite in Palm Bay, Florida Schedule: Full time, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm Participation in company Health Benefits (1st of the month, after 30 days employment) Medical – Company covers 80%, employee 20% Dental - employee Vision - employee 401K with 5% matching (90 days employment) STD, LTD plans covered by the company Life Insurance, 2xs annual salary – covered by company Educational Assistance Program – Up to 3k per year (participation after 90 days of employment) Paid Holidays (10) Paid Time Off (13 days)
